I also had to grab a slice of carrot cake and peach cobbler. This is the type of establishment people come from out of town to visit, the food is that good. “Delicious food. Very popular. I love eating breakfast and dinner her. Great cornbread as well. They staff is super friendly and quick. Never have to wait for a seat but word is getting out how great this place is. It’s well decorated and very unique. I love their fried oysters. “So glad we decided to turn around after we saw this gem. Sunday offered brunch and regular afternoon menu which was a bonus! BBQ with over easy eggs hit the spot and the catfish with sides was delicious. Nice tangy collards and the biscuits were perfectly soft on the inside with a light crust. Baked goods for dessert had to be to go but were so delicious one couldn't resist. I did not realize this place was a must visit but I'd say it is now.”
“Absolutely excellent food and service. Waiter was friendly and prompt. He had great suggestions about what to try. I ordered sausage gravy, and though I'm not super crazy about sausage, this was the absolute best sausage gravy I've ever had. The fried apples had intense flavor, and I loved that they use local apples. My husband ordered French toast and absolutely loved it. It was slightly crisp, sweet, with great flavor inside. It was our first time (though we have lived here 14 years), but it definitely won't be our last!”
“LOVED Bonnie Blue!! Make sure to try their shrimp and grits - the wine reduction and local bacon just made this my favorite dish. There is a large patio with spots in the shade or in the sun, the location is a nice little spot in Winchester with plenty of free parking. Everyone is so friendly there, the food is amazing and we can't wait to go back.”
